It’s been a while since machine print, the ePublication wing of machine HQ, has put something new out. So for this post, arg/machine decided to remedy the situation.
Accordingly, he dragged the heavy printing presses out from where they had been mothballed and, drawing inspiration from friends and well-wishers, began work on the eBook he had mentioned previously – a collection of tales by that acclaimed author of paranoid SF: Philip K. Dick.
New from machine print: Copyright Free PKD
The concept behind this new, free eBook – Copyright Free PKD – is quite simple: it collects PKD stories that, over the years, have entered the public domain. In the course of his prolific career, PKD wrote 120-odd short stories, of which barely ten per cent are currently “copyright free” or in the public domain. And though few in number, these do include some vintage PKD gems… but more on that in arg/machine’s introduction to this eBook.

And now, let’s get to the actual eBook itself. Interested readers can download copies of this new eBook from here or from the mirror here. Like all previous machine print releases, Copyright Free PKD is being made available in mobi and epub formats, and the zipped archive [1.1 Mb] that can be downloaded from the links above contains both versions. Not sure how to use these file formats? Check out arg/machine’s quick guide here, then.
Note: This eBook has now been added to goodreads.com and can be found here. And while on the subject of goodreads, arg/machine has decided to start updating his profile page again, although from now on he will add new books to it once a week only, starting next week.
Meanwhile, over in Moron Central…
As predicted, the local losers, morons and scum – so far from comprehending the fact that the application business is now closed from arg/machine’s side – have stepped up their arm-twisting, threats and blackmailing in an attempt to force arg/machine to the country of their choice. In response, arg/machine can only direct them – and their cronies – to this previous post.
Also, arg/machine feels obligated to inform these local morons and their cronies that if these threats, arm-twisting and blackmailing continue, he will have to reconsider the terms suggested in an earlier post and make an upward revision.
And that’s it for this post. Thanks.
