Well folks, if you wish to read eBooks in mobi and epub formats – two very popular formats – on your PC or notebook/laptop, then you need to download and install a suitable reader that can decipher these files for your reading pleasure. You can try Amazon’s free Kindle for PC app to read mobi books; for epub files, you may want to check out Stanza – another free eBook reader. You see, arg/machine currently lacks the software required to create PDF files that look and feel the way he wants them to and till he has access to such software, mobi and epubs are the formats machine print anthologies will be made available in.
Machine’s super spectacular science stories
Well, as was the case with the previous machine print anthologies [links at the end of the post], arg/machine would have loved to include contemporary writers – the coolest SF stars of our time – in this one too. He couldn’t do it, however, because their work – unlike the stories in this eBook – is not in the public domain. But because science fiction/SF is a relatively “young” genre, the authors you’ll find in this new anthology – all classic and/or from SF’s Golden Age – are stillregarded as doyens of the field. Tales of intelligent machines, good – and bad – aliens, apocalyptic wars, evil – and noble – geniuses and space invasions: you, the good reader, can find them all in this collection. Exciting stuff, eh?
